When the fall and winter holidays arrive, I think back to growing up and always using what was seasonal. What is seasonal in Italy this time of the year?

Over the last couple of years, I have built up a larger following on social media and my blog. Many of you who are new, have not been a part of my journey or know much about me. I wanted to share my story with you all, even those who may know some of my journey. The highs and lows have helped make me who I am today. The twists and turns have inspired me and guided me to share good food, my Italian heritage, and my unique experiences. So here we go…this is a brief history into how it all began, and how I got to where I am today.

Italy is one of the most beautiful countries in the world. I will share my favorite places to be in Italy, one feature at a time.

I love Spring as it welcomes new beginnings, rebirth, and warmth. It is the time of year we begin our gardens and look forward to reaping the benefits of fresh organic fruits and vegetables. Spring also is the Easter season. In Italy there are a variety of Easter specialties, and traditions.

A Message for Love

After this weekend I felt compelled to write. I begin with how I no longer feel safe in this country. What was once a place people aspired to come to and live a dream, is not that country anymore. This country is no longer the land of the free...it is now the land of those living in fear. We live in fear, anxiety, and depression because those we elected and trusted as our officials have blatantly FAILED US. No one has taken a stance to protect us as the citizens of the USA. No one will take charge and say this is ENOUGH. We need change. Enough division, hate, violence, fear, and depression. This is the time for us all to come together and rebuild what was once a safe and beautiful place.

As we begin 2023 I’d like to focus a little on how health and food are connected.
