A Message for Love
After this weekend (May 7, 2023, Allen,TX) I felt compelled to write. I begin with how I no longer feel safe in this country. What was once a place people aspired to come to and live a dream, is not that country anymore. This country is no longer the land of the free...it is now the land of those living in fear. We live in fear, anxiety, and depression because those we elected and trusted as our officials have blatantly FAILED US. No one has taken a stance to protect us as the citizens of the USA. No one will take charge and say this is ENOUGH. We need change. Enough division, hate, violence, fear, and depression. This is the time for us all to come together and rebuild what was once a safe and beautiful place.
People are more interested in profiting from others and the next news headline, rather than being a good person and helping others. We no longer teach love, unity, and banding together. We now teach division and how to tear people apart and put them against each other. We teach that violence should be reinforced with more and that we need to join in and not stand up and rise against it. What have we become when you no longer feel safe to go buy a pair of shoes? What have we become when you cannot drive on a road and feel safe? What have we become when a school is no longer a safe haven? What has the USA become? A country at war with itself. We are at war, and if you can't see it then you need to look closer.
I'm heartbroken for every family that has lost a loved one to the lack of response from our leaders and from us as a country. I pray we can unite with love to heal this country, but we must all stand together to make it happen. Let the local officials, state officials, and government officials know we have had enough, and we are wanting peace and love restored. If we don't begin to take a stance, things will only get worse. It's time to take action in a peaceful, organized fashion.
Unfortunately, I don't know how to make this happen but what I do know is we need a solution, and we need to call upon our elected officials to come together as adults with compassion, not greed. They must work in unison to find a solution for our gun issues, our mental health issues, all media and social media issues, our safety issues, and the division that is happening throughout this country. Let us become a country that others can once again look up to. We must do this not only for ourselves but for our future generations. We were once one of the greatest countries to live in, let's show our children that we can make the USA great once again.
I sign off with one thing...let our elected officials know we want change to better our country, we deserve it. But most of all, LOVE because it never fails. We need to show everyone love, every day unconditionally. Make a difference, and let's come together in peace and love. I say to all of you...LOVE LIFE sending healing prayers to everyone across the country.
